Top Ten Family Films

Ah, they don't make 'em like they used to. Family films used to be great so here are my top ten (in no particular order):
1)  Home Alone

Boy gets left at home alone and has to protect his house with booby traps. Could it get any better? Yes!It's Christmas too!

2)  Home Alone 2

Boy ends up on the wrong plane and ends up in a different state than his family. Has to protect hospital money using a house full of booby traps. Could it get any better? Yes! It's Christmas too! And set in New York!!

3)  Bedknobs & Broomsticks

Ah, Bedknobs & broomsticks. Loved it as a kid, love it now. Is The Jellyfish interested in it? Not ruddy likely. Probably because it doesn't invlove a computer or a DS...

But there's magic, animation and songs. Brilliant.

4)  The Wizard of Oz

Who doesn't like The Wizard of Oz? Come on, hands up. Shame on you.

It's magical and colourful (apart from the beginning and end, of course). It's a battle of good vs evil with a few songs thrown in.

The lion is my favourite - put 'em up, put 'em up - closely followed by Toto the dog.

5)  Honey I Shrunk The Kids

Perfect example of a family film. A bunch of kids go on an adventure while their parents have no idea what is going on.

6)  Three Men & a Baby

Is it the ghost of a boy? I don't know but I always look out for him.

7)  Three Men & a Little Lady

Sequels don't always work but this one does.

8)  Short Circuit

I heart Johnny Five.

Speaking of sequels working, Short Circuit 2 is fab as well.

9)  Look Who's Talking

Love this film, seeing the world through a baby's eyes (or voice).

10) Look Who's Talking Too

Rarely is a sequel better than the original but I like Too even better than the first.

What are your favourite family films?
