TV Highlights of the Week

Only seen the first two so far (rest have been recorded) but Red or Black? gets the thumbs up from me. It's no Poker Face but I'd watch the alphabet being repeated for an hour by Ant and Dec. The only thing I won't watch is I'm a Celebrity. Sorry A&D but even you can't convince me to watch that pap.

Celebrity Big Brother has come to an end and it's the first one I have ever watched past the first episode. I didn't want Paddy to win. He did nothing at all entertaining. I can't believe I am going to say this but... I wanted Jedward to win. Jedward! Annoying little b*stards that they are. I think I need a lie down after that confession.

The 'real' Big Brother has now started. I have to say that I don't like any of them, although a couple of the girls seem ok (Louise - mainly because she's from Manchester and Faye) but there is plenty of time for me to change my mind.

Watched the concluding part of Field of Blood and was a teeny bit disappointed by who was behind the killing. I thought it was quite obvious who it was as soon as they were mentioned in the first episode. But it was pretty good nonetheless and I enjoyed watching the twists and turns.

Watched the Great British Bake Off again this week and the only disappointment was that I can't bake like the contestants.

QI shouldn't really be in my highlights because I forgot to record it. Really annoyed with myself as I was looking forward to watching it as I love QI. At least we have iPlayer so all is not lost.

X Factor has to feature again. I usually bore quite quickly with the auditions and want it to start up properly but the change in line up has held my interest a bit longer this year. My only gripe is the way they STILL put the non talented through. Winds me up.

Things I am looking forward to in the near future:
  • Strictly returning
  • Second series of Downton Abbey
  • Perfect Couples & Happy Endings - two new series on E4 that started this week but I haven't got round to watching yet
  • This week's Who Do You Think You Are. I always look forward to it but this time it will be Alan Carr's turn

What have been your TV Highlights this week?

  1. I love US Big Brother, the winner is to be announced this Wednesday and right now it's not looking good for who I want to win.

The X Factor is about to begin here in the States and I'm looking forward to trying it out. I never last long but I'm one that is all about the hype.

  2. I hate it when my 'chosen one' doesn't win. Not that I ever actually vote but that's not the point...

I hope they show the US X Factor in the UK (I'm sure they will - they show American Idol). Then I'll have double X Factor :-D

Please feel free to leave a comment. I appreciate them all. Apart from spam, obviously.
