One Summer Can Change Everything

That's what it says on the blurb of The Little Bed & Breakfast by the Sea, and it's true this year for me!

A few weeks ago, I was getting ready for the publication of my sixth ebook. Summer was just kicking in and the kids only had a couple of weeks left in school before the summer holidays. I'd Instagrammed the books I planned to read during the break with no idea that by the end of the summer, I'd have my very own paperback to hold - and Instagram.

I've always wanted to be a writer from being a child and I always hoped that one day it would come true. So the past few years have been amazing as I've published seven books, both independently and with my publisher, HQ Digital. So when I was told the news that The Little Bed & Breakfast by the Sea was going to print, it was the icing on the cake. The sweetest, most delicious (and sugar-free) icing ever.

The paperback edition of The Little Bed & Breakfast by the Sea is out today and it really is true that one summer can change everything. As cheesy as it sounds, this summer my wildest dreams have come true.

As fate would have it, I'm spending the day at the seaside. It may not be as sunny in Blackpool this year as it is in Clifton-on-Sea, but I'm going to build sandcastles and eat fish and chips on the beach anyway.

Book News: The Little Bed & Breakfast by the Sea Paperback

I'm delighted to be able to share the news that The Little Bed & Breakfast by the Sea will be going to print next month [insert happy dance].

After six books, this will be my first paperback so I am MEGA excited! The paperback will be available in Sainsbury's and online from Amazon from 24th August (but you can pre-order from Amazon here) and I can't wait to hold a copy in my mitts!

I've already checked through the page proofs and you can see what the full cover will look like below. Isn't she a beauty?

A Li'l Introduction to Mae, Willow and Melody!

As The Little Bed & Breakfast by the Sea is out next week (eep!) I thought I'd introduce the three main characters, Mae, Willow and Melody.

Mae

The book is set in Clifton-on-Sea, a British seaside town where Mae is running her little bed and breakfast on the seafront. Mae is a single mum to four-year-old Hannah, who along with the B&B and her part-time bar work, keeps Mae too busy for any kind of love life. But she's quite happy being single. Or so she likes to tell people...

Willow

On the surface, Willow has the perfect life. She and her husband are renovating their dream house on the seafront and she adores running her own upcycling business. But if you dig a little deeper, you may discover a few cracks and realise that looks can be deceptive and her life isn't as rosy as you first thought.

Melody

Melody is a visitor to Clifton-on-Sea, briefly stopping by the seaside town as she works on a photography project. She only intends to stay for a couple of days before moving on to the next town, but when she meets charming ice cream-seller Hugo, her plans fly out of the window. But something is holding her back, preventing her from letting go and enjoying her time with Hugo.

When the three women meet up at Mae's little bed and breakfast, their secrets start to emerge and this summer may just change their lives forever...
