Giveaway: Beat the Lockdown Blues With a Romantic Comedy

I think we're all getting fed up of being stuck inside now (has it only been a week?) so I thought I'd try to spread some cheer with a weekly giveaway of one of my ebooks on Twitter.

Here's how it'll work:

Like my giveaway tweet to enter

Every Friday a winner will be picked. The winner chooses one of my books (which is then removed from the list) until either
a) all the books have been won
b) we're let out to play

The first winner will be picked this Friday (3rd April)

The ebooks will be gifted by me from Amazon, so it's UK only as I can't gift to other countries

The Beginner's Guide Series: A New Look & A Giveaway

This week, I've been sharing the book makeovers for my Beginner's Guide series. I hope you love the new-look covers as much as I do!

Below, you'll find more information about the books, plus find out how to enter my Beginner's Guide giveaway.

Ruth usually spends Christmas curled up on her parents’ sofa, watching feel-good movies whilst being fed festive food and drink until she can no longer move. But Ruth’s perfect Christmas is shattered when her mum receives a DIY-induced injury and Ruth is forced to take over the preparations.

Shopping. Cooking. A house full of hyped-up kids.

Christmas may no longer be the most wonderful time of the year.

A Beginner's Guide To Christmas is a quick, festive read - and it's FREE!

Click the links above to download your copy.

Ruth loves nothing more than curling up in front of the telly with a family-sized bar of chocolate. She doesn’t do diets and she certainly doesn’t do exercise. But all that changes when she’s invited to her school reunion.

Bullied at school for being overweight, Ruth’s first reaction is to rip the invitation into a million pieces. But then Ruth hatches a plan. She’ll lose the weight and arrive at the reunion looking gorgeous and glamorous, leaving her old classmates in awe. Especially her former crush, Zack O’Connell.

With the help of her friends and a new, unbelievably hot colleague, Ruth begins her transformation. With six months until the reunion, losing weight will be a piece of cake, right?

Three women. Three weddings. But who will say I do – and who will say I don’t?

Ruth can’t quite believe she’s managed to snag The One but when he proposes, she can finally accept that she’s found her happily ever after. But when Ruth finds herself booking her dream church for just six weeks away, she starts to panic. You can’t plan a whole wedding at such short notice. Can you?

Trina has only just walked down the aisle, but she’s already starting to question whether they can make their marriage work. Will they survive the honeymoon period, or have they just made a very big – and very expensive – mistake?

Erin has somehow found herself agreeing to be a bridesmaid for the tackiest wedding known to man. With drunk hens, ridiculous outfits and a terrifying wedding planner, just what has Erin signed up for?

To celebrate the bookish makeovers, I'm running a giveaway over on my Facebook page.

Publication Day: The Wedding that Changed Everything

It's an exciting day for me as it's the publication day of my eighth book, The Wedding that Changed Everything! It's already had some lovely early reviews, so I'm glad people are enjoying Emily's story. Releasing a book is always a nerve-wracking experience, but knowing readers have chosen your book and then fallen in love with the characters and settings you've created means the world to an author.

To celebrate the book's publication, I'm giving away a prize bundle on my Facebook page. The prize includes a cute castle bookmark, a notebook and magnet set, and some Haribo sweets.

You'll find my Facebook page here

I've been posting the diary I kept while writing The Wedding that Changed Everything, which you can read by clicking here. You'll find everything from my planning process, the places I struggled and how I pushed through, and the working title of the book. I'll be posting some 'book extras' here on the blog over the next few weeks so do pop back for those!

I hope you enjoy The Wedding that Changed Everything and I'd love to hear what you thought of Emily's story 😊

About the Book

Love happens when you least expect it…

Emily Atkinson stopped believing in fairy tales a long time ago! She’s fed up of dating frogs in order to find her very own Prince Charming and is giving up on men entirely…
But then she’s invited to the wedding of the year at the enchanting Durban Castle and realises that perhaps bumping into a real-life knight in shining armour isn’t quite as far away as she thought!

Will Emily survive the wedding and walk away an unscathed singleton – or finally find her own happily-ever-after?

About The Books

Delilah James, singleton and smoothie-addict, has six months to find a date for her oldest friend’s wedding. Oh, and to prove to her ex, best man Ben, that she has totally moved on since he dumped her out-of-the-blue nine months, eight days and seventeen hours ago…

So, with her two BFFs playing Cupid, Delilah launches herself into the high-tech, fast-paced and frankly terrifying world of dating. Luckily there’s the hot new guy at work, Adam Sinclair, to practice her flirting on – even if, as a colleague, he’s strictly off-limits!

Yet time’s running out and date after disastrous date forces Delilah to tell a little white lie – and invent a fake boyfriend! But will her secret crush on Adam ruin everything? Does she even care about Ben anymore? And is it too late to untangle her web of lies and take a real date to the wedding…?

The Wedding Date is available from Amazon here

‘I wish I could live your life. I’d happily swap lives with you.’

’Tis the season to be jolly but for Calvin and Judy the usual festive bickering has already begun! Judy’s convinced that her husband has it easy – no glittery wrapping paper, no playground gossip and absolutely no Christmas baking.

Calvin wishes he could trade in his obnoxious boss and dull nine-to-five job to spend more time kicking back with his kids – how hard can Judy’s life really be?

But after a magical mince pie mix-up, one thing’s for certain – by Christmas Day, life for Judy and Calvin will never be the same again. Perhaps the grass isn’t always greener after all…

The Mince Pie Mix-Up is available from Amazon here

Ally Richmond is dreading turning thirty and bidding farewell to her youth. And when her husband says he wants to start a family, she begins to panic.

Is this all that life has to offer from now on? Popping out babies and growing old gracefully? She wants a life crammed with glamour and spontaneous adventure, not one full of dirty nappies and night feeds.

When Ally makes a silly birthday wish for a new, exciting life, her wish is granted.

But when Ally is presented with the freedom and opportunities she craves, she soon realises this new life isn’t all it’s cracked up to be and that there really is no place like home.

Everything Changes But You is available from Amazon here

One Hundred Christmas Proposals Competition!

Today I'm pleased to welcome Holly Martin onto the blog with an amazing competition!

One Hundred Christmas Proposals is out now, here’s the blurb

The eagerly anticipated follow-up to One Hundred Proposals.

If you thought Harry & Suzie’s life couldn't get anymore sweepingly romantic than Harry asking her to marry him at the end of One Hundred Proposals – think again!

It’s Christmas in a snow-kissed London, and the.PerfectProposal.com have vowed to carry out one hundred proposals in December. No easy task at the best of times - made even more complicated by Harry & Suzie trying to plan their first Christmas and a visit from the dreaded in-laws. But one hundred deliciously Christmassy proposals later they find themselves asking if everything is still perfect in their own relationship….

Welcome back to the divinely warm world of One Hundred Proposals – with a sprinkling of pure, joyful, festive magic.

Have yourself a very merry Christmas indeed with Holly Martin’s Christmas novella.

***
I love this story and I’m so excited about you guys reading it too. I never thought I would write a sequel for any of my novels, but catching up with Harry and Suzie, two of my favourite characters, in London at Christmas was a story that was begging to be told. What I love about this story is instead of Harry proposing to Suzie, we get to see some of the amazing proposals they organise for their clients and we learn a little about their clients lives too. One of my favourite proposals in this story is the sightseeing flight over London with the proposal written in flowers on a boat on the Thames.

Now you can win a sightseeing flight over London too and experience some incredible views of our capital.

This experience gives you a unique perspective on the sights of London. After a short pre-flight briefing, you'll board a Piper Seneca twin-engine plane for a fantastic half hour sightseeing trip.

After taking off in Essex you'll follow the Thames west into the heart of the city, getting a unique view of the capital. You'll see the O2 arena, Tower Bridge, HMS Belfast, the towers at Canary Wharf, The London Eye, The Shard and the Houses of Parliament. Then turn north to fly over Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace, before heading back east to land in Essex. You'll get an amazing perspective on the geography of the city and the beauty of its landmarks, so whether you're a tourist or a Londoner, you'll see the capital in a whole new way. And if flying isn’t your thing, this would make the perfect Christmas present for someone in your family.

All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is copy one of the pre-prepared tweets below, tweet it and you’ll automatically be entered into the draw to win this prize bundle. The more you tweet, the more times you’ll be entered.

The competition will run until midnight (UK time) on Sunday 14th December so plenty of time for tweeting. Every time you tweet, you’ll be entered into the draw.

Good Luck

Blog Tour: It Must Have Been The Mistletoe by Judy Astley + A Giveaway

Today I'm delighted to be taking part in the blog tour for Judy Astley's festive It Must Have Been The Mistletoe with a review of the book and a giveaway!

Thea's parents have decided to divorce. But unlike most divorces, Anna and Mike's is very much an amicable one. So much so, in fact, that the pair have organised a family Christmas in Cornwall. Thea and her siblings, Emily and Jimi, along with their families, will spend the festive period by the sea with their parents with plenty of bracing walks, good food and drink and quality time together. It all sounds cosy and civilised - until Anna and Mike's new partners turn up and they all end up snowed in under the same roof.

Thea has recently split up with her fiancé when she and her family make the trip to Cornwall, so her heart is feeling a bit battered and bruised. Her ex sounds quite boring and pompous so I was hoping she would find a way to get over him completely and perhaps meet somebody new while she was away. While her sister is a bit narky and a worrier, I really liked Thea and thought she was kind and down to earth and definitely needed a bit of a boost after her break up with Rich.

The Anna and Mike situation sounds quite odd - the pair have been separated but still living under the same roof for some time - but I liked them. Their relationship is a little quirky but I thought they were great characters and although they are bit 'out there' they are fantastic parents. I love the idea of the big family get together for Christmas, complete with grandchildren and spouses. The house they stay in sounds wonderful and cosy and very festive with the log fires, huge Christmas tress and plenty of mistletoe. There is a definite festive feel to the book, which I loved. It's so entertaining and heart warming with a brilliant cast of characters, from old hippes Anna and Mike to brash new partner Charlotte and the sweet owner of the house, Sean. I liked the family feel of the book with the multi-generation aspect, from the grandparents down to the small grandchildren and everybody in between.

It Must Have Been The Mistletoe is a fun and festive read with plenty of humour and romance. It's the kind of book best enjoyed with a mince pie (or two) and a mug of hot chocolate.

I've been provided with 3 copies of It Must Have Been The Mistletoe to give away. To enter, simply fill in the rafflecopter form below.

The giveaway will end on Monday 17th November.
Rafflecopter will choose three winners at random, who will be notified by email before being announced on the blog.
