A Quick Catch Up

It's been a few months since I last did a little catch up post so I thought I'd squeeze one in before Christmas. Let us know what you've been up to in the comments below :)

What are you working on?

I'm working on the first draft of Book 13, which is a festive book and I'm SO CLOSE to reaching The End. I wrote the first 60,000 words of it during this year's Nano and I'm determined to finish the first draft before Christmas.

What are you reading?

I've been working my way through my festive TBR list recently, and my current read is All I Want for Christmas by Joanna Bolouri.

All I Want for Christmas (Joanna Bolouri) All About Us (Tom Ellen) One Week 'Til Christmas (Belinda Missen) Christmas: A History (Judith Flanders)

So far, I've also read All About Us by Tom Ellen, One Week 'Til Christmas by Belinda Missen, and a non-fiction book, Christmas: A History by Judith Flanders.

Next up on my list is Hercule Poirot's Christmas by Agatha Christie.

What are you watching?

Like a lot of people, I've been getting my festive Hallmark movie fix over the past few weeks. I've also been gobbling up game/quiz shows: Jepopardy! on Netflix, Only Connect, The Hit List (which combines two of my favourite things - game shows and music) and Michael McIntyre's new gameshow, The Wheel.

What have you been Instagramming?

My Instagram

  1. I love your catch up's Jenn. :) That's so awesome that you hit 60000 words with Nano this year. I've been keeping updated on Twitter and think it's awesome and inspiring. :) My word count is slowly creeping up for book 6 but I'm hoping to make a big dent in it before the new year as I should be getting edits back for book 5 soon. I love that you have been Christmas baking too. I'm excited to do some more when we break up this week! :) I hope you're having a lovely weekend! Lucy xx

    1. I was surprised by how much I managed to write during Nano - couldn't have done without the support of my local writing group and our Zoom chats and write-ins!
Good luck with Book 6 (and Book 5 edits) and happy baking. Looking forward to seeing what you make :)
